I'm fundraising for the World's Greatest Shave
Greetings the beautiful people of my circle,
Chances are many of us know or are one of the 140,000 families whose lives have been changed by blood cancer in Australia right now. My extended families' lives will forever be different because of it. Around the world, that number is even higher.
It's due time that my COVID man-bun officially exits stage left. I thought it a good opportunity to participate in the World's Greatest Shave and raise funds for the Leukaemia Foundation. It will help fund critical research and, hopefully, bring us closer to the day that zero lives are lost to blood cancer instead of 16 lives every day.
I've set an ambitious goal of raising $1000 for this great cause. If we get to $500, gone goes the man-bun and I'll get a haircut. But if we reach $1K, I'll shave my head properly for you amazing people. Though no amount will be too great or too small in the war against this source of sorrow.
Please donate any amount you can. It will mean the world to me, those currently fighting for their lives and the medical professionals and scientists working incessantly for a happier world.
Bonus: those of y'all that hate the bun will no longer have to put up with the absolute eyesore on my head as of 16 July 2024.
