How win­ner will be selected

A win­ner will be select­ed at ran­dom by the Leukaemia Foun­da­tion from amongst eli­gi­ble reg­is­tered par­tic­i­pants of World’s Great­est Shave 2022.

Each per­son reg­is­tered to par­tic­i­pate in World’s Great­est Shave 2022 as an indi­vid­ual or a mem­ber of a team will be entered into the com­pe­ti­tion by the Pro­mot­er when they have raised $100* and will be entered into the com­pe­ti­tion again for every addi­tion­al $100 they raise*

* As ver­i­fied by the Leukaemia Foundation.

A par­tic­i­pant in World’s Great­est Shave 2022 (‘WGS) is deemed to accept these Terms and Con­di­tions when they reg­is­ter to par­tic­i­pate in WGS

  1. The pro­mot­er of this com­pe­ti­tion is The Leukaemia Foun­da­tion of Aus­tralia Ltd (ACN 057 493 017 / ABN 57 057 493 017) of 213 – 217 St Pauls Ter­race, For­ti­tude Val­ley QLD 4006 (tele­phone 07 3318 4418) (‘Pro­mot­er’). 

Prize:

  1. The prize for the com­pe­ti­tion is a MY21 Suzu­ki Jim­ny Auto in Brisk Blue Metal­lic + Bluish Black Pearl (with stan­dard fit­tings) val­ued at $35,000 inclu­sive of GST and on road costs (includ­ing costs asso­ci­at­ed with twelve (12) months reg­is­tra­tion of the motor vehi­cle in the place of res­i­dence of the win­ner, twelve (12) months third par­ty com­pul­so­ry insur­ance cho­sen by the Pro­mot­er, stamp duty and deal­er deliv­ery charges (as may be applicable). 

  1. The win­ner (on a draw or redraw) will receive the prize as described (or an equiv­a­lent cho­sen by the Pro­mot­er and/​or Suzu­ki Aus­tralia Pty. Ltd. ABN 57 001 828 164 (‘Pro­mo­tion­al Part­ner’)) by the date agreed between the Pro­mot­er and the win­ner or with­in 30 days of the date on which the draw or redraw takes place. 

  2. The prize must be col­lect­ed by the win­ner from the nom­i­nat­ed deal­er of the Pro­mo­tion­al Part­ner as noti­fied to the win­ner by the Pro­mot­er. If the win­ner is from a remote area, arrange­ments will be made for deliv­ery of the prize to the win­ner by the Pro­mot­er and the Pro­mo­tion­al Partner. 

  1. Trav­el costs asso­ci­at­ed with claim­ing and tak­ing deliv­ery of the prize are the respon­si­bil­i­ty of the winner. 

  1. All option­al extras and acces­sories, any insur­ance not stat­ed as includ­ed in the prize, per­son­al costs and any oth­er ancil­lary costs are the respon­si­bil­i­ty of the winner. 

  1. Nei­ther the Pro­mot­er nor the Pro­mo­tion­al Part­ner will have any respon­si­bil­i­ty or be liable in any way for any mechan­i­cal, body or paint defects or repairs or repairs or main­te­nance of any kind relat­ing to the prize that may be need­ed after the date and time the prize is deliv­ered to the win­ner. For the pur­pos­es of this con­di­tion, the time when the prize is deemed to be deliv­ered to the win­ner is when the key to the vehi­cle is hand­ed to the winner. 

  1. Vehi­cles depict­ed in any pro­mo­tion­al mate­r­i­al relat­ing to WGS are for illus­tra­tion pur­pos­es only; the prize vehi­cle may be of a dif­fer­ent colour or grade.

Reg­is­tra­tion and Entry:

  1. To be entered into the com­pe­ti­tion, a per­son must be reg­is­tered to par­tic­i­pate in WGS (reg­is­tered par­tic­i­pant) as an indi­vid­ual or a mem­ber of a team. This reg­is­tra­tion can be via the fol­low­ing methods: 

  • Reg­is­ter online via web­site worlds​great​est​shave​.com

  • Arrange for reg­is­tra­tion to be com­plet­ed on the participant’s behalf by an autho­rised employ­ee of the Pro­mot­er. Note that this autho­rised employ­ee must accept the Promoter’s Waiv­er on the participant’s behalf and if the par­tic­i­pant does not wish to accept this waiv­er, they must con­tact the Pro­mot­er and advise of reg­is­tra­tion can­cel­la­tion. A per­son who may be a mem­ber of a team but who is not reg­is­tered will not be entered into the competition. 

  1. Unless they are not eli­gi­ble under these terms and con­di­tions, each per­son reg­is­tered to par­tic­i­pate in WGS as an indi­vid­ual or a mem­ber of a team will be entered into the com­pe­ti­tion by the Pro­mot­er when they have raised $100 (as ver­i­fied by the Pro­mot­er and pub­lished on the offi­cial WGS online fundrais­ing page) (the min­i­mum amount), and will be entered into the com­pe­ti­tion again for every addi­tion­al min­i­mum amount they raise. 

    Where a reg­is­tered per­son is a mem­ber of a team, the amount of funds raised by them will be the total as deter­mined by the Pro­mot­er of: (i) the dona­tions made on the participant’s own fundrais­ing page and (ii) the aver­age of dona­tions made on the fundrais­ing page of the person’s team (this aver­age to be deter­mined by the Pro­mot­er by divid­ing the total of dona­tions made on the team’s fundrais­ing page by the num­ber of per­sons in the team, includ­ing the cap­tain of the team).

  2. A per­son who is not res­i­dent in the fol­low­ing states and ter­ri­to­ries of Aus­tralia on the date they become a reg­is­tered par­tic­i­pant or the date of the draw or redraw is not eli­gi­ble for the com­pe­ti­tion: Aus­tralian Cap­i­tal Ter­ri­to­ry, New South Wales, North­ern Ter­ri­to­ry, Queens­land, South Aus­tralia, Tas­ma­nia, West­ern Aus­tralia and Victoria.

  3. The com­pe­ti­tion opens on 6 Decem­ber 2021 at 12.01 AM AEST. Every reg­is­tered par­tic­i­pant who is not inel­i­gi­ble pri­or to this date will be auto­mat­i­cal­ly entered into the com­pe­ti­tion for every min­i­mum amount they have raised.

  4. Par­tic­i­pants who reg­is­ter for WGS pri­or to 1 July 2021 are not eli­gi­ble and will not be entered into the com­pe­ti­tion by the Promoter.

  5. Com­pe­ti­tion entry clos­es 20 March 2022 at 11:59 PM AEST; any reg­is­tered par­tic­i­pant after this date is not eli­gi­ble and will not be entered into the com­pe­ti­tion by the Promoter.

  6. Teams and donors are not eli­gi­ble to win. This prize is for a reg­is­tered par­tic­i­pant (a per­son reg­is­tered to par­tic­i­pate in WGS as an indi­vid­ual or as a mem­ber of a team) only.

  1. The fol­low­ing per­sons and imme­di­ate fam­i­ly mem­bers are not eli­gi­ble to enter the com­pe­ti­tion for them­selves or on behalf of any oth­er per­son: Board mem­bers and staff of Leukaemia Foun­da­tion and employ­ees of Suzu­ki Aus­tralia Pty. Ltd. 

  1. There is no entry fee payable to par­tic­i­pate. Each entry into the com­pe­ti­tion will have an equal chance of winning. 

Draw and redraw:

  1. The draw will to be held on Fri­day 25 March 2022 at TPAL, Lev­el 2, 11 York Street, Syd­ney NSW 2000 at 3:00 PM (Syd­ney time) by ran­dom for­mu­la using ran​dom​draws​.com/au. If cir­cum­stances pre­vent the Pro­mo­tor from con­duct­ing the draw on this date and time and at this address, the Pro­mot­er may hold the draw on anoth­er date and time or at anoth­er venue that it deter­mines (sub­ject to any writ­ten direc­tions from a reg­u­la­to­ry authority).

  2. A scru­ti­neer will be present at the draw.

  3. The win­ner will be noti­fied by the Pro­mot­er by phone and email on the day of the draw. The results of the draw will also be pub­lished in a print pub­li­ca­tion deter­mined by the Pro­mot­er at a time and on a date nom­i­nat­ed by the Promoter.

  4. The win­ner will be pub­lished on the WGS Lat­est News web­site page will be on the first busi­ness day fol­low­ing the date of the draw at https://​worlds​great​est​shave​.com/news

  5. In the event the prize remains unclaimed by 10:00 AM (Syd­ney time) 27 June 2022 an unclaimed prize draw will occur at 3:00 PM (Syd­ney time) on 29 June 2022 at the same venue as the orig­i­nal draw in the pres­ence of an inde­pen­dent scru­ti­neer. The unclaimed prize win­ner will be noti­fied via tele­phone and email with­in 2 busi­ness days of the draw and pub­lished on https://​worlds​great​est​shave​.com/news by 6 July 2022.

  6. If after the unclaimed prize redraw, the prize is not claimed or deliv­ered by the date agreed between the win­ner and the Pro­mot­er, the Pro­mot­er may with­hold the prize and need not con­duct anoth­er redraw.

Claim­ing and deliv­ery of the prize: 

  1. To be eli­gi­ble to claim and take deliv­ery of the prize, the win­ner (on a draw or redraw) must make con­tact with the Pro­mot­er and do the fol­low­ing with­in 3 months of being noti­fied of their win to claim the prize: 

  • con­firm their full name and address. 

  • pro­vide a cer­ti­fied copy of their cur­rent and valid driver’s licence in the state or ter­ri­to­ry they reside in and will take deliv­ery of their prize. 

  1. Before the win­ner (on a draw or redraw) can take deliv­ery of the vehi­cle, the win­ner must:

  • pro­vide to the Pro­mot­er (or the Pro­mo­tion­al Part­ner or its nom­i­nat­ed deal­er) all infor­ma­tion and com­plete and sign all doc­u­men­ta­tion nec­es­sary to enable the vehi­cle to be reg­is­tered in the win­ner’s name. 

  • if required by the Pro­mot­er (or the Pro­mo­tion­al Part­ner or its nom­i­nat­ed deal­er), sign a legal release in a form as may be required by them. 

  1. The prize must be tak­en by the win­ner (on a draw or redraw) as described and no com­pen­sa­tion will be payable or sub­sti­tu­tion will be made if a win­ner is unable to take the prize as stat­ed. The prize is non-trans­fer­able (except as pro­vid­ed in these terms and con­di­tions), non-exchange­able and not redeemable for cash. 

  2. The win­ner (on a draw or redraw) must agree to a pre­sen­ta­tion of the prize, an inter­view and photography/​videography of the deliv­ery of the prize with per­son­nel of the Pro­mot­er (or Pro­mo­tion­al Part­ner of its nom­i­nat­ed dealer).

  3. Where the win­ner (on a draw or redraw) is unable to reg­is­ter the vehi­cle in their name or do not have a cur­rent and valid driver’s licence (for exam­ple, they are under the min­i­mum age), the win­ner may assign the prize to anoth­er per­son with legal capac­i­ty for the pur­pose of reg­is­tra­tion (for exam­ple, for a per­son under the min­i­mum age, a par­ent or legal guardian) (‘assignee’). In this case, the win­ner or the assignee must make con­tact with the Pro­mot­er with­in 14 days of the win­ner being noti­fied of their win and pro­vide the infor­ma­tion and doc­u­men­ta­tion and do such oth­er things as required of the win­ner under these Terms and Con­di­tions to claim and take deliv­ery of the prize. Nei­ther of the Pro­mot­er and Pro­mo­tion­al Part­ner (and its nom­i­nat­ed deal­er) takes any respon­si­bil­i­ty for any such arrange­ments between the win­ner and the assignee. 

Fundrais­ing:

  1. All fundrais­ing by reg­is­tered par­tic­i­pants must be con­duct­ed in a legal and appro­pri­ate man­ner in line with local state or ter­ri­to­ry fundrais­ing laws, state or ter­ri­to­ry gam­ing laws and the Promoter’s fundrais­ing guide­lines. Adher­ing to these laws and guide­lines is the respon­si­bil­i­ty of the reg­is­tered par­tic­i­pant. Reg­is­tered par­tic­i­pants should con­tact the Promoter’s office in their state or ter­ri­to­ry to ensure their fundrais­ing com­plies with the Promoter’s guide­lines pri­or to pro­mot­ing or com­menc­ing fundraising.

  2. All fundrais­ing activ­i­ties for WGS must be com­pli­ant with the Promoter’s com­mu­ni­ty stan­dards and val­ues. If in doubt, reg­is­tered par­tic­i­pants should con­tact their Promoter’s team mem­ber for guid­ance before plan­ning your fundrais­ing activ­i­ty. Free call (land­line) 1800 500 088.

  3. The Pro­mot­er reserves the right to with­draw a reg­is­tered par­tic­i­pant from one or both of the WGS and a draw or redraw in the com­pe­ti­tion at any time if the Pro­mot­er forms the view (in its sole dis­cre­tion) that the par­tic­i­pant is in breach of the Promoter’s fundrais­ing guide­lines and com­mu­ni­ty fundrais­ing stan­dards and values.

Oth­er:

  1. The Pro­mot­er and the Pro­mo­tion­al Part­ner (and its nom­i­nat­ed deal­er), will not be liable for any costs, loss, theft, dam­age, or per­son­al injury what­so­ev­er (includ­ing but not lim­it­ed to direct, indi­rect, or con­se­quen­tial loss) which is suf­fered or sus­tained in con­nec­tion with this pro­mo­tion, the pro­mo­tion of this pro­mo­tion, or the use of the prize, except for any lia­bil­i­ty which can­not be exclud­ed by law.

  2. The Pro­mot­er and the Pro­mo­tion­al Part­ner (and its nom­i­nat­ed deal­er) may col­lect and use (includ­ing dis­close) the per­son­al infor­ma­tion of reg­is­tered par­tic­i­pants for the pur­pos­es of the com­pe­ti­tion or the pur­pos­es in accor­dance with their respec­tive Pri­va­cy Poli­cies (Here is the Promoter’s Pri­va­cy Policy).

  3. The Pro­mot­er reserves the right to hold, void, sus­pend, can­cel, amend or update the terms and con­di­tions applic­a­ble to the com­pe­ti­tion where and when it deter­mines (in its sole dis­cre­tion) that it is nec­es­sary to do so.

  4. The decision(s) of the Pro­mot­er in rela­tion to any aspect of WGS, the com­pe­ti­tion and fundrais­ing are final.

  5. Each reg­is­tered par­tic­i­pant in WGS will be deemed to have accept­ed these terms and con­di­tions when they reg­is­ter to par­tic­i­pate in WGS.
