Laisani's Story

In early February, before school started this year  I was camping at Patonga with my Mum, Dad, Solomon, Uncle Will, Aunty Darns and Talei. I had some funny looking bruises on my back so when we got home I had a blood test and we found out that I have Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia (ALL).

Since then my Mum, Dad and I have moved into Ronald McDonald House while I have treatment at Westmead Children's Hospital. Solomon has been staying with either Bubu and Pa, Nanny and Poppy or Aunty Yanna and Uncle Reggie and visiting us on the weekends.

My favourite things about RMH and the Hospital are:

1. Tuesday mornings - free pancakes for breakfast

2. The Starlight Room at the Hospital - Boomerang Fu on the Switch is my favourite

3. Having unlimited time on my iPad

I have been going really well with my treatment, Mum and Dad are always telling me how brave and strong I am. One thing that has started to happen is my hair is falling out so I have decided to shave it off and be bald like my Dad, twinnies.
