53 people a day in Australia hear the words "You have (blood) cancer". That is 1 person every 27 minutes. October 25 2023 was the day that changed our family's lives. We heard the words. They echoed slightly; you don't expect to hear them out of the blue, for you or someone you love so much. We heard those words – Dad has Acute Myeloid Leukemia. And so ours and especially Dad's Odyssey began. On May 30, 2024 we are making the commitment. Stephie will be shaving her head for her Dad and Nadia will be cutting her hair very-very short for her Dad (in-law); and of course everyone who has come before and everyone that will unfortunately still be to come. Please help us raise much needed funds to support those with Leukemia from the ground up (transport to appointments, long-distance travel to hospital for treatments, accommodation during treatment) right through to funding and supporting research into treatments and hopefully one day a cure.
