I'm fundraising for the World's Greatest Shave

I've been in the fundraising game for a long time, yet never has a cause been so close to my heart.

I managed to make it to my dad's beside before he finally lost a very lengthy battle with Myeloma 18 months ago. His cancer was very long, complex, full of pain, loss of function, big drugs with big side effects and endless, endless setbacks and disappointments. It was brutal.

I didn't know what Myeloma really was until dad was diagnosed. It's awful.

Blood cancer is Australia's hidden cancer crisis. There are 140,000 families facing blood cancer right now. And it takes the lives of 16 Australians every day. The numbers are frightening, but the reality is worse.

I've signed up this year to raise funds for the Leukaemia Foundation to give Australians facing blood cancer life-changing practical and emotional support. And to fund critical research, bringing us closer to the day when zero lives are lost to blood cancer.

I'd love you to donate in honor of the loved ones lost to blood cancer everywhere, but especially if you were lucky enough to know my dear, sweet, funny, grouchy dad.

If you need an extra incentive, I shall be allowing my soon-to-be step children to get 'artistic' with my hair thoughout March.
