We live in a remarkable, fascinating, exciting and surprising world. The human race is about to embark in an evolutionary step change with the advancements in AI and biotech. Hopefully we wont fck it up!
Yet as I step into my 18th year of fundraising for leukaemia foundation I cant help thinking that for some people they wish for the unremarkable beautiful world of family , friends and the basics of a healthy life. We have all seen too many family and friends succumb to cancer and what we would give to just roll back to the simple pleasurers of a healthy life.
Your support over the last 17 years has been phenomenal – together we have been the largest single fund raiser the last 3 years in a row and the largest fundraiser of all time for the foundation. THANK YOU!
With over 300,000 deaths a year globally 6,000 in Australia with 140,000 people right now in Australia living with blood cancer – we have a lot of opportunity to help them get better and an even bigger opportunity to help the future generations live an unremarkable life and never know what cancer is. With funding, and the amazing advances in technology, we can realise The Leukemia foundation goal of no deaths from leukaemia by 2035 – what an unremarkable world that would be!
