Bzzzzzz - there goes 2 new wigs!
Jamee: This is Damian's 3rd wig donation as he is a prolific hair grower. To create a second wig out of my mop we are shaving back to the root!
With only 2 years of growth since my last donation there isn't as much on my head as Damian's (he hasn't had a single hair cut since Lent 2023) so this time we are shearing the lot!
This is a significant spiritual time to shave, as it is the beginning of Lent. It is also great that we can do this as a couple to egg each other on.
Not only are we giving up a warm head of hair just before winter but Damian and I are attempting to raise funds for an important cause which is doing great work offering support to blood cancer sufferers and their families.
I have lost friends to blood cancer and have 3 cancer survivors in my family (including both my godparents) so know how hard the journey can be.
Please help us reach our goal of $2000 by donating or by offering encouragement & prayers for the greatest shave and all who engage in blood cancer research, treatment programs and support.
