I’ve upped the target from my original $400 to $1000, there’s a good reason for this too, that I’ll share in another post later on.
I'm fundraising for the World's Greatest Shave
Blood cancer is Australia's hidden cancer crisis. There are 140,000 families facing blood cancer right now. And it takes the lives of 16 Australians every day.
These numbers are set to double by 2035. Unless we do something about it. That's why I've signed up for the World's Greatest Shave.
I'm raising funds for the Leukaemia Foundation to give Australians facing blood cancer life-changing practical and emotional support. And to fund critical research, bringing us closer to the day when zero lives are lost to blood cancer.

Friday 9th AugMy relationship with leukemia has been too close over the years. As a young lad, my brother lost his best mate, and my sister and I door-knocked most of Gladstone to raise money for the foundation. The efforts from this I saw still have an impact today with the Leukemia Foundation having their “Corey 2” car driving around Brisbane. More recently I lost my uncle. He was a fighter through and through but this disease got the better of him.
I’ve been dragged into the work team on a whim, but given my history with this, cannot be more enthusiastic about participating. D Day is the 27th August and I’ll be ditching these arctic-blonde locks and facial features. Any contribution that you can spare will go towards this great cause.
