Right now, over 150,000 Australians are facing the devastating impact of blood cancer, and 17 lose their life every single day.
My Grandfather (who I called Poppa) recently died from blood cancer, and I can tell you firsthand how important research like this is. While it may not necessarily be a cure, this research can delay the effects of cancer, and in my case allowed me and my family to spend a lot more time with Poppa than we would have been able to otherwise. The extra time that we got with him was invaluable. It enabled us to say all the things we needed to say, enabled my whole family to be there for him and meant I got to know him for the incredible man he was.
That’s why I’m taking on the Leukaemia Foundation’s World’s Greatest Shave. By donating to my page, you’ll help me raise funds and awareness for blood cancer, and fuel life-changing research projects and support services for people like my Poppa.
Any amount – big or small – is one step closer to the end of blood cancer.
