I'm Shaving my hair for the World’s Greatest Shave 2025!
“You have Blood cancer” are words heard by 53 people every day in Australia. These people are friends, family, children, neighbours, colleagues and mentors.
Every single one of them means something to someone.
Of the over 140,000 families facing blood cancer, 16 people everyday, in Australia ALONE, will loose there lives.
It will be 106 people every day who hears these words by 2035 if we don’t do something about it. 106 families will be faced with the heartaches and challenges that come with cancer, and 32 will loose someone who means something, and 280,000 families will be facing blood cancer.
This shouldn’t be the case. Let’s help the leukemia foundation’s life saving work to not only research into stopping blood cancer, and by association taking the first steps towards finding a cure to cancer, but their practical life changing work to provide transport, bill relief and emotional support to those going through the unimaginable.
But it’s not unimaginable, not for most of us, and as someone who has lost family members to cancer, I am shaving my head in support of the leukemia foundation this year.
