Help me take a stand against blood cancer
This is the fourth time I have shaved my head for the Leukaemia foundation, but this time I am doing it in honor of my Dad, Richard, who passed away in 2023.
17 Australians lose their life every single day to blood cancer and in April 2023 we were one of those affected families. Already diagnosed with a terminal cancer, my Dad was diagnosed with a secondary cancer of leukaemia. He passed away just 5 weeks after this secondary diagnosis.
This isn't the first encounter the family has had with blood cancer. My sister was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma 12 years ago. Thankfully, with good medical access she entered remission that same year and has remained cancer free.
These are the reasons why I’m taking on the Leukaemia Foundation’s World’s Greatest Shave. By donating to my page, you’ll help me raise funds and awareness for blood cancer, and fuel life-changing research projects and support services for patients and their families.
