Help me take a stand against blood cancer

I will be donating my hair to create a wig, whilst raising money and awareness for blood cancer. When I was a baby, I was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer called neuroblastoma. At three weeks of age I became unwell and after some testing, they found a tumour in one of my adrenal gands, pushing on my kidney. I had surgery when I was 9 weeks old to remove the tumour, leaving me with one adrenal gland and a large scar along my stomach. 

Having had cancer is a part of who I am, and it still affects me to this day. From the countless checkups until the middle of primary school, to my scar becoming too tight for my growing body, resulting in needing surgery in the coming year. The pain of my scar I feel when I run, workout and walk is a constant reminder of overcoming cancer and I embrace it. 

The World’s Greatest Shave has had a place in my heart since I knew it existed in year 7. Since then, I have wanted to take part in the event and decided I would cut my hair in year 12. For the last few years I have grown my hair long, used products and had minimal trims.

By donating to my page, you’ll help me raise funds and awareness for blood cancer, and fuel life-changing research projects and support services for patients and their families.
