Imagine going through 12 years of treatment with no cure in sight!

Please take a moment to read the reasons for what has inspired us to take on this challenge.
Place yourself is this person’s shoes for just 1 minute.
Imagine waking up at the age of 40, to hear the words, “You have a disease that, left untreated, gives you a life expectancy of two years. With treatment, you might reach five years, and if you're lucky, eight.” A disease that affects multiple areas of your body
Fast forward to today, 12 years later. Those words still echo in your mind. But you have defied the odds.
Since that fateful diagnosis day, in the first 3 months you endured 90 chemotherapy sessions, then ongoing since, every 3 months. Each session lasting up to eight hours. That’s “200” sessions in total. Treatment day is once again just around the corner.
You have faced uncontrollable haemorrhaging, excruciating pain from bone structure collapse that has required joint replacements, loss of teeth, heart attack, constant pain and a daily routine of taking a multitude of medications to manage your treatment and its side effects.
Yet, through it all, you have never lost hope that a cure is just around the corner.
The person I'm speaking about doesn't want a song and dance. They know their story, while harrowing, their form of disease rare, this way of life is not unique.
They’ve asked to remain faceless on this occasion, inviting you to imagine yourself in their place instead.
To continue supporting those who fight this battle every day, we need your help. Your generous donation can provide much-needed funding for research and treatment, offering hope to those who need it most. Please consider contributing and making a difference in the lives of countless individuals and their families. Every donation, no matter the size, brings us one step closer to a cure.
