I’m Going RED for Blood Cancer Awareness
Hi, I’m Vanessa, and this year I’m joining the Rural LAP Team in the World’s Greatest Shave — but with my own bold twist. I’m not shaving it all off. Instead, I’m cutting and dyeing my hair bright red to raise awareness for blood cancer — a cause that’s incredibly close to my heart.
I’m Going RED for Blood Cancer Awareness, and I want my bright red hair to be a bold reminder of the urgent need for research, better treatments, and support for families affected by blood cancer.
This cause is deeply personal to me. I lost my incredible mum to multiple myeloma, a form of blood cancer. She was strong, loving, and fought bravely — and I’m doing this in her memory, to honor her and support others facing the same battle.
