Help me take a stand against blood cancer
Right now, over 150,000 Australians are facing the devastating impact of blood cancer, and 17 lose their life every single day.
I was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukaemia in December 2023, i thought i just had the flu. Within 24hrs i was transported from Rockhampton to the Royal Brisbane and Womens Hospital. My wife and 2 young children followed shortly after.
The Leukaemia Foundation provided support and accommodation for my family for the 10 months i was receiving treatment. The organisation is truly a godsend for families affected by the sudden and drastic impact of leukaemia.
The staff and facilities at the Dutton Park accommodation were amazing. The staff were friendly and provided assistance where they could, always checking in on my wife. There was a small gym, play room for the kids and a bbq area for families to gather and discuss their journeys and support each other.
That’s why I’m taking on the Leukaemia Foundation’s World’s Greatest Shave. By donating to my page, you’ll help me raise funds and awareness for blood cancer, and fuel life-changing research projects and support services for patients and their families.
