Help Give Someone with Cancer the Same Chance I Had

Some of you may already know my story. For those who don’t, in 2018, at the age of 29, I was diagnosed with chronic myeloid leukaemia. Without treatment, I had a prognosis of just 2.5 years to live on average. But thanks to groundbreaking research and the tireless work of scientists, an effective treatment was discovered, allowing me not only to survive but to live a full, normal life (and even become a dad!).

Since then, I’ve completed my training as a haematologist, and I’m now pursuing a PhD in blood cancers at the Walter and Eliza Hall Institute (WEHI), with incredible support from the Leukaemia Foundation. My research focuses on improving the effectiveness of a promising anti-cancer drug, venetoclax. My goal is to contribute to the fight against cancer, ensuring that others diagnosed with this disease have a better chance at survival and recovery.

Your generous donation will support me, along with dedicated clinicians and researchers like myself, in advancing our understanding of cancer and working toward finding more cures. Together, we can make a real difference.

Thank you in advance for your support!

Thanks for having your say
